WaterSmart Innovations, the world's largest urban water-efficiency conference, has announced a strategic partnership agreement with San Francisco-based nonprofit organization Imagine H20.
Founded in 2007 by a team of leaders in the water, energy and nonprofit sectors at Harvard Business School, Imagine H2O seeks to inspire and empower people to solve water problems. Imagine H2O hosts an annual prize competition for water innovation and offers an accelerator program to help entrepreneurs turn their plans into real-world solutions.
Since its debut in 2008, WSI has drawn attendees from across the country and around the world. To date, attendees have come from 45 states and 27 foreign nations. WSI features a comprehensive slate of professional sessions and panel discussions and an exposition featuring water-efficient products and services.
"WaterSmart Innovations' mission includes accelerating development and adoption of water-efficient products," said WSI Program Chairman Doug Bennett. "Imagine H2O has a winning track record of finding promising, innovative startups in the water industry and helping them gain momentum. This partnership has synergistic potential that reaches well beyond the two organizations."
In addition to Imagine H2O, WSI is presented by the Southern Nevada Water Authority in partnership with the Alliance for Water Efficiency, American Water Works Association, Audubon International, California Landscape Contractors Association, California Urban Water Conservation Council, the U.S. EPA's WaterSense Program, Green Plumbers USA, International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, International Center for Water Technology, International Code Council and Irrigation Association.
The sixth annual WSI conference and expo is slated for Oct. 2-4, 2013, at the South Point Hotel and Conference Center in Las Vegas. More information is available at www.WaterSmartInnovations.com
