STEC Equipment's history dates back over 10 years. Founded by David Taylor, who left his home country of England to establish what was then BLEC USA. As General Manager, David built the American operation from scratch, essentially a one man show. In 2009, when BLEC UK began experiencing difficulties, the American division had become independent and was thriving. This was a credit to our diverse business model, offering a sales and distribution infrastructure to other European brands such as AFT Trenchers and the GKB Combinator/FieldTopmaker. When BLEC UK was no longer able to supply adequate parts and whole goods, Mr. Taylor saw the need for a truly specialized equipment supplier. With the writing on the wall, the launch of STEC Equipment was inevitable. This transition was not only seamless, but proved to be successful. We began to expand our product line by importing other European equipment which we felt would be of great value to the American consumer. We have since partnered with several other major manufacturers to bring a comprehensive product offering. With a commitment to QUALITY, and a passion for sourcing the latest INNOVATION from around Europe and North America, STEC Equipment has grown to be the "go to" supplier for specialized turf equipment.

The STECAVATOR is the perfect machine for preparing areas for seeding or sod, creating an ideal seed be in ONE PASS. With numerous working widths, there is no job too large or too small.
The STECAVATOR is constructed of very strong hardened steel, and features a chain transmission with a 2 YEAR WARRANTY.
The STECAVATOR concept is simple. A heavy duty reverse rotation rotor, with special bolt on L-Shaped blades, tears through the ground and anything in its path up to a depth of 6". Hurling rock, overgrowth, and debris, at speeds of nearly 40mph, towards a special set of screening tines, the fine soil passes through while the unwanted materials are left at the bottom of the trough. The fine dirt is collected by a leveling board and the drug and leveled over the debris, essentially burying all unwanted material. Finally, our unique packing roller compacts the dirt leaving a perfectly finished area ready for seed or sod.
