TCIA and PLANET Pursue Partnership Opportunities
The Tree Care Industry Association and the Professional Landcare Network announced that the organizations have decided to defer continued discussions on unification at this time. They will continue to pursue partnership opportunities and explore ways to work together to further the interests of both memberships and the green industry as a whole.
NOFA Accredits 70 Professional Landscapers
During the ninth annual five-day Accreditation Course in Organic Land Care, 70 professional landscapers from Massachusetts and beyond joined over 500 professionals accredited by the Northeast Organic Farming Association’s Organic Land Care Program. The course was held at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge in Newburyport, Mass. All of the newly accredited NOFA Organic Land Care Professionals will be listed in the NOFA AOLCP Online Searchable Database at www.organiclandcare.net and published in the annual NOFA Guide to Organic Land Care.
SIMA to Hold 13th Annual Symposium
The Snow & Ice Management Association will hold its 13th annual Snow & Ice Symposium at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, R.I., from June 23-26. The symposium will feature a two-day trade show with the latest equipment and services from over 80 exhibitors; keynote address by Bob Coulter of JP Horizons; over 20 educational sessions covering sales and marketing, operations, management and leadership, and administration; a new Risk Management Track with sessions on insurance, contracts and legal, and data collection; Snack & Chat roundtable discussions; networking receptions; Certified Snow Professional exam; and an awards banquet.
