Project EverGreen Expands Program, Helps Military Families

The cities of Akron, Ohio, and Milwaukee, Wis., proclaimed May as Project EverGreen Month. Akron is participating for the second year, while the program is new in Milwaukee.

As a supporting sponsor of the Professional Landcare Network’s Day of Service, Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops program resulted in 50 lawn and landscape companies volunteering their time and services to military families who have a loved one on active duty overseas. To date, the program is helping more than 2,200 companies provide free services to more than 8,000 military families nationwide.
