Syngenta Announces Appointments, Departure Registration
Syngenta has announced several key management appointments for its North American Lawn & Garden leadership team, as well as the registration of Departure Herbicide by the EPA.
Syngenta has appointed Tim Kroenke head of the North American Lawn & Garden team, Keelan Pulliam as head of the Flowers Professional organization and Scott Reasons to lead Turf & Landscape/Consumer Business.
Kroenke most recently led the North American Professional Flowers business. His responsibilities will include overall management, and profit and loss for the company’s plant protection, flowers and growing media businesses throughout the region. Pulliam joined Syngenta in 1976 and has held various leadership positions in crop protection and professional products. Reasons has held various commercial roles at the company since 1986 in both crop protection and lawn & garden. His most recent position was head of marketing for Turf, Landscape and Consumer businesses.
Syngenta has also announced that their Departure non-selective herbicide has received registration from the U.S. EPA for use on residential and commercial lawns, golf courses, sod farms, athletic fields and for ornamental production. It can control more than 170 emerged annual and perennial grass and broadleaf weeds, and is also labeled for a broad range of turfgrass applications, including turf renovation and winter weed control in dormant bermudagrass.
SipcamAdvan Opens New Formulation Lab
SipcamAdvan has opened a new laboratory facility in Valdosta, Ga. The lab augments SipcamAdvan formulation expertise and new product speed to market, both key components of its growth plan for 2010 and beyond.
The lab will facilitate the development and testing of innovative formulas, as part of the company’s launch platform for new technology in crop protection, turf and ornamental markets in the U.S. and Mexico.
