Zylam 20SG Receives EPA Registration
PBI/Gordon Corp. has received EPA registration for Zylam 20SG Systemic Turf Insecticide. Zylam 20SG, which contains dinotefuran, is a soluble granule labeled for key turf insect pests, such as chinch bugs, annual bluegrass weevils, crane flies and mole crickets. State registrations are complete and expected to be available in January.
Syngenta Appoints Three to Marketing Positions
Syngenta has announced several key appointments for its Turf & Landscape/Consumer Business.
Scott Valentine is now head of marketing services for the company’s Turf & Landscape/Consumer Business. He previously worked at Syngenta Biotechnology, Inc. as a project leader for drought-tolerant corn and soybeans, and most recently was manager of marketing services for Turf & Ornamentals.
Shawn Potter has been appointed head of marketing for Turf & Landscape/Consumer and will lead the brand manager and market manager teams. He comes from Syngenta Crop Protection Herbicide Brand Management, where he was responsible for cereal herbicides.
Howard Jaekle has been appointed market manager to Home Care & Consumer. He has held several previous positions, including sales representative, programs manager and sales training manager. His most recent position was district manager, Turf & Ornamental.
Additionally, Dave Ravel, former key account manager, Turf & Landscape/Consumer, has been appointed head of Key Account Management for the division. He will work with a seasoned team of key account managers.
