Tenacity Herbicide Approved for Residential Lawns
Tenacity herbicide from Syngenta Professional Products has been approved by the U.S. EPA for use on residential lawns. The selective preemergence and postemergence herbicide controls 46 broadleaf weeds and undesired grasses in most cool-season turf types. In addition to weed control in established turf, it can be applied at seeding to reduce weed competition for improved seedling development.

Overture Insecticide Registered in California
Overture Insecticide from Valent Professional Products has been registered in California for use on greenhouse-grown ornamental crops, and will provide growers consistent, effective control of thrips and lepidopterous larvae.
With its registration in California, Overture is now available for use in all 50 states.
VanBibber Retires from PBI/Gordon
Laylah VanBibber, director of marketing for PBI/Gordon Corp., has announced her retirement, effective June 1. She celebrated her 25th anniversary with the company in February. VanBibber’s early retirement will allow her to be more involved with her granddaughter’s care and treatment for bipolar disorder and Asperger’s syndrome.
April Allenbrand who has been with the company since April 2010 will be assuming VanBibber’s marketing and communications responsibilities. Mary Ellen Scheib will remain the key contact for the turf and ornamental industry.
