The First Public Comments Draft of the new ASABE/ICC 802-201* Landscape Irrigation Sprinkler and Emitter Standard dated December 2012 is available for public comment through Feb. 18.

It’s being developed through the International Code Council’s (ICC) ANSI-approved standard development process in partnership with the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

It covers sprays, rotors, point and line source drip emitters, bubblers, and microsprays used for landscape irrigation systems. Topics covered include basic design requirements, materials, marking/labeling, and most significantly standardized testing methods.
