Environmental Management, a landscape company in central Ohio, and GIS Dynamics, makers of Go iLawn, have teamed up to collect damaged and healthy tree information for properties in central Ohio to help landscape contractors identify damaged and dead trees for clients and insurance claims.
The best way to approach this problem, both short and long term, is to utilize technology like mapping and GPS,” said Grant Gibson, president of GIS Dynamics. “Environmental Management, a customer of our Go iLawn estimating application, reached out to us for an efficient solution to inventory their customer’s trees.”
Staff members will inventory both healthy and damaged trees for customer properties across the region using a systematic approach, and once the data is collected it will be brought back to the office and overlaid with additional data layers, such as property boundaries, aerial photography and specific customer property data in order to create property maps. Environmental Management will then review and distribute the maps to property managers and insurance companies, which will be utilized as physical evidence that trees were damaged by Imprelis.
