Though compact machines are smaller than their big brothers, they can pack quite a performance punch.
John Deere Construction & Forestry Division
The new E-Series line includes five skid-steer models and four compact track loaders, each with Interim Tier 4 Final Tier 4 engines. Enhancements and improvements designed to enhance operator and machine productivity were developed after extensive customer input.
CASE Construction Equipment
The Alpha Series line has been updated to meet the federal Tier 4 Final emission standard with upgrades to four products. Leading the way are the 57 hp SR175 and SV185 medium-frame skid-steers, offering 7,145 and 5,435 pounds of bucket breakout force, respectively. A variety of attachments provide optimal versatility.
The new TS Series skid-steer loaders boast 6,500 to 8,600-pound operating weights and operating capacities from 1,500 to 3,000 pounds. Standard features include pilot-operated joystick controls, boom float with detent, mechanical attachment coupler, pressure releasing hydraulic quick connects, one piece main frame, and front and rear work lights.
The TSR50 radial lift path skid-steer boasts a 50 hp turbocharged Perkins engine with load-sensing, variable flow hydraulics. The machine has a 1,500-pound rated operating capacity, 115-inch lift height and 22-inch reach. The 110 hp PT-110 track loader has an 11,100-pound operating weight, 7,600-pound tipping load capacity and 125-inch lift height.
The 200 Series includes the L218, L220, L223, L225 and L230 models with the vertical lift Super Boom design rated from 57 to 84 hp. Two compact models, the 43 hp L213 and 49 hp L215, feature a radial lift design. The L220, pictured, offers 60 gross hp, 2,000-pound operating capacity and 29.8-inch dump reach.
Skid-steer and compact track loaders include the radius lift path S510, S550 and T550 and the vertical lift path S530, S570, S590 and T590. A cab-forward design moves the operator closer to the attachment and improves visibility. Rated operating capacity ranges from 1,650 to 2,100 pounds, depending on model.
The Dingo 427 gasoline and Dingo 525 diesel narrow track models can access a standard 36-inch gate, while 42-inch gates are accessible to the TX 427 and TX 525 wide track models. Reinforced Kevlar tracks enhance stability and traction and offer high flotation for a lighter footprint. Over 35 attachments for tasks from digging and hauling to earth moving and trenching.
The 299D boasts a Cat C3.8 engine and Intelligent Leveling technology. This machine pairs Stage IIIB and Tier 4 Interim emission standards with dual-direction self-leveling, return to dig and work tool positioner. The vertical lift linkage design maintains a vertical lift path with maximum reach from the bottom to the top of the lift cycle.
Avant Tecno USA
Avant compact loaders have an articulated design and 360-degree cabin view. The 400, 500, 600 and 700 series loaders offer lift capacities ranging from 1,100 to 3,100 pounds and lift heights from 110 to 122 inches. A telescopic boom comes standard, and more than 100 attachments are available.
<BrdrColor:0,0,0><BrdrColor:0,0,0>The SK750 and SK755 compact tool carriers feature 24.8- and 32.8-hp diesel engines respectively, up to 800 pounds of lift capacity, 81-inch lift height and compatibility with 70 attachments. The high-drive track system makes it easy to convert from a narrow to a wide-track stance.
The ZX75US-5 and ZX85US-5 reduced-tail-swing excavators combine a hydraulic boom system with an enhanced boom recirculation function to generate more aggressive boom/arm speed. Two productivity modes – power and economy – give operators the ability to choose the digging style that fits the job.
Equipped with optional counterweights, RSeries radial lift skid loaders-the R190, R220and R260-offer rated operating capacitiesfrom 2,110 to 2,780 pounds. Lift heights reachup to 120.5 inches on the R190 and 123 incheson the R220 and R260. Equipped with Tier IVengines and high-powered auxiliary hydraulics.
JCB’s new 8018 CTS compact excavator, powered by a 19.2 hp engine, provides a 10-foot-1-inch dig depth and boasts a 4,017-pound operating weight. A strong kingpost features top-mounted boom ram and steel bushings for durability. The machine’s tilting cab offers best-in-class serviceability, and a cast steel counterweight provides protection.
