These questions are not relevant to everyone. Around here quaking Aspen always get bores and have a very short life. They also send up tons of suckers so they should not be recommended. Bees airways prefer other sources of pollen they only go after dandelions as a last resort. The question about dandelions relates to weird hippies that are too lazy to install and maintain a beautiful landscape. Those people always have the worst looking properties in every neighborhood.
Quaking Aspen might provide fast shade, but I wouldn’t plant one on purpose since they have other issues in the landscape. Aspens sucker badly from their many exposed roots, and they can damage house foundations if planted too closely to a house as well as damage asphalt parking lots.
