Rain Bird Services Corporation has announced a new training program that focuses specifically on Rain Bird commercial and golf course central control system installation, operation and maintenance. The Rain Bird Factory Trained Program is designed to help contractors build their skills and open up new opportunities.

The courses in the Factory Trained Program feature practical, hands-on training exercises to reinforce information learned in the classroom. After completing a course, students take an exam to test key knowledge areas. Designations are awarded to individuals who pass the exam. The Factory Trained Program offers professionals a chance to earn Installer, Operator and Technician designations across the complete line of Rain Bird Central Control products for each application.

The Factory Trained Central Control Installer course teaches students how to install the appropriate hardware components and select the right communications configuration for the site. The Operator courses instruct professional contractors, superintendents or water managers on the powerful features of Rain Bird Central Control products and how those features can help them efficiently manage system and water resources. The Technician courses hone the skills of maintenance professionals who are in charge of maintaining a Rain Bird Central Control system, enabling them to diagnose system problems quickly and easily.
