Louisville, Ky., October 28-30

The GIE+EXPO is the industry’s largest showcase for outdoor power equipment distributed through dealers, retailers and distributors, lawn and garden products leisure items and light construction and landscape equipment used by general contractors, landscapers and more.

This year, the Hardscape North America will be co-located at the Kentucky Exposition Center along with the GIE+EXPO, and there are nearly 100 companies that did not exhibit in the show in 2009.

There are also many fresh aspects for the 2010 show. On Thursday and Friday in the demo area, attendees will be able to watch and compete in the Walker World Driving Championship, which allows Walker dealers, owners and operators to demonstrate their skills in a friendly competition with contestants from around the world. The High-Performance Department will have a new twist this year, with an emphasis on parts and accessories and how dealers can improve this part of their business. Brand-new this year is the Dealer Roundtable Discussions during which dealers can learn about best practices used around the country. It will be part of Friday’s Dealer Experience, which is sponsored by Ariens and Stihl, Inc. (preregistration is required). New for lawn care and landscape professionals is the opportunity during the GIE+EXPO workshops to learn about adding hardscape installation to their services and then the bonus of seeing eight live demos on specific hardscape services they can offer their customers.
