After 30 years of supplying replacement parts to professionals via a catalog, MUNI-CON has launched a website, www.municononline.com, catering to the end user. The unique difference in the site is that is not loaded with hundreds of items, just the parts that are replaced most often. For those who do not shop online, the company still offers a printed parts catalog by request.

CENTS Shows Green Means Business

The Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show was held at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, hosting over 8,000 attendees and more than 400 vendors. This year, CENTS added a new dimension to the show by rolling out in-depth business management sessions to help owners drive efficiency, sales and profitability. The move toward business education reflects the challenges of conducting green business in the current economy, which demands business sophistication to thrive.

Engage Agro Partners with Purely Organics

Engage Agro USA and Purely Organic Products announced that they have entered into a product sales and distribution agreement to help bolster the U.S. sales of their respective product lines. Purely Organic will begin handling the Engage Agro specialty products for lawn care, athletic fields and golf courses. The agreement covers the New England states as well as New York, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky. Engage Agro will begin selling certain Purely Organic products to some of its key customers in the agriculture and specialty agriculture markets.

New Sales Reps Join Dow T&O Business

Two new sales representatives have joined the Dow AgroSciences Turf & Ornamental Business. Chris Moyer will serve customers in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Since 1999, Moyer has been superintendent for Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree in agriculture from Ohio State University and has a master’s degree in business administration from Tiffin University.

Lucinda Smetana was recently hired as a sales representative serving Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Previously, she was a sales representative for the Sentricon termite colony elimination system. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a degree in agricultural sciences.
