CHANDLER, Ariz. – In anticipation of continued sales and market share growth, Horizon Distributors announced several personnel additions and changes at its National Sales Conference in Scottsdale this past week, beginning with announcing the return of industry veteran Phil Stephens.
Stephens has rejoined the Horizon team and began his role as director of sales at the start of the National Sales Conference last week. After a brief leave of the industry, he returns to a role designed to direct sales strategy, provide training and develop the Horizon sales team.
In other announcements, Kirby Copeland has been promoted to general manager of the West Division, consisting of the California, Nevada and Arizona. This following a voluntary request by Scott Kirk to vacate the GM position while remaining with the company as director of employee development. Shawn Connor remains general manager of the newly-aligned Central Division, consisting of Texas, Colorado, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
As part of their continued investment in becoming a world-class equipment dealer, Horizon also announced their new National Parts & Service Center to be headquartered in their Phoenix sales and distribution center. Toley McGettigan will begin a new role as national parts manager, and Marlin Posvar will begin a new role as national service manager.
Scott Bennett has been named the national accounts manager, focusing on delivering the Horizon value proposition to national and regional maintenance companies.
