RALEIGH, N.C. – Kim Lewey, co-owner of Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc., has been named a winner of the 2013 Women in Business Awards from Triangle Business Journal. Lewey received recognition in the "Family Business" category for her leadership of the company she operates with her husband, Mike.
The Women in Business Awards program recognizes Triangle women leaders with established track records of significant accomplishments in business and community service. Lewey is one of 26 recipients selected this year from among more than 160 entries submitted for the award. Winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Aug. 20 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, N.C.
Lewey established Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc. with her husband in 2001. She holds an active role in daily operations to meet clients’ needs and expectations successfully as well as manages marketing, customer relations, and financing, and oversees a staff of 10 employees. Under her leadership, Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare exceeded 20 percent in revenue growth in 2012.

"There are many outstanding local women business leaders, which has helped grow the area to become what it is today. Lewey serves as president of the 2013-2014 board of directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Raleigh chapter, an ambassador for Soroptimist International of Raleigh and an advisory board member and mentor for I’m A Great Child WorldwideSM.
Lewey provides lawn maintenance services pro bono for the offices of Triangle Family Services. She recently joined the Circle of Red for the American Heart Association to help raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases, particularly among women.
Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc. provides landscaping and lawn maintenance services to customers in the Triangle area, including Raleigh, Durham, Morrisville, Cary and Chapel Hill. The company serves both commercial and residential clients with a full range of services tailored to meet individual landscaping and lawn maintenance needs
