Kim Lewey, co-owner of Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc., has been named to the advisory board of I’m A Great Child Worldwide, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and teens who then change their lives on their own. In her position, Lewey will serve as a mentor on the board, as well as offer guidance for major decisions regarding the nonprofit.

Founded by international trainer and coach Janet Bauer, I’m A Great Child Worldwide has been taught to thousands of vulnerable children in the United States, Kenya, South Africa, Botswana and recently Haiti. The program empowers youth by enhancing their natural strengths, confidence, courage and speaking skills. The nonprofit has also trained hundreds of teachers and staff at other organizations. In the United States, the program has been used in schools, in homeless shelters, centers for victims of domestic violence and in a center for children impacted by HIV/AIDS. In Africa, the program has been taught in schools in extreme poverty areas, centers for children who were living on the streets and for kids in informal settlements and rural villages.
