CLEVELAND, Ohio – Meyer Products has appointed Darren Docherty to director of sales – independent retail group, a new position at the company. 
Docherty comes to Meyer from John Deere, where for 12 years he held key positions in dealer account management, sales management, commercial sales, retail marketing and various dealer programs.
His responsibilities at Meyer will focus on sales management of the core commercial business, including management of field sales, day-to-day management of dealer/distributor relationships, and various other functions key to meeting the needs of Meyer’s dealers and distributors.
Docherty, who is experienced in the challenges facing a seasonal business and equipment retailers, said, “I’m very excited to join the Meyer Products team. The brand is well established and it’s my goal to continue to broaden the company’s position in North America. I look forward to enhancing Meyer’s already successful business model with my knowledge and background.”
