grateful embraceThe Ohio Lawn Care Association (OLCA), Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association (ONLA) and the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) with the support of the Ohio AgriBusiness Association, The Andersons, Dominion, Morral Companies, Residex-Turfgrass, Scotts Miracle-Gro and TruPointe will partake in the annual community service program, the Grateful Embrace, to beautify the hallowed grounds of two veterans cemeteries on Saturday, November 7.

In 1994, OLCA began a community project to beautify the memorial grounds at Dayton National Cemetery and then in 2010, started the project at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. OLCA members contribute their tools, resources and time to take one day out of the year to gift the cemetery and its veterans that rest there. OLCA will continue to deliver the same support in years to come to each cemetery.

Over the past 20 years, the sponsoring associations have contributed nearly $20,000 annually in products and manpower to this project and hope that during the one day in the year that OLCA members are there, it makes a difference to the cemetery as it is a great impact on the members to give back to Veterans.
