LAYTONSVILLE, Md. – Ruppert Landscape, Inc. has announced the acquisition of A R Star Services, a Maryland-based company, which provides commercial landscape management services. The transaction includes the purchase of selected commercial landscape management contracts, trucks and equipment. The commercial clients are primarily based in northern Baltimore County.
The A R Star purchase includes equipment for sweeping, which will enable Ruppert to expand its services offered in the market, providing parking garage, street and parking lot sweeping for interested customers.
A R Star has been doing business in the Baltimore area for over 30 years. Company Owner Bob McElwain first approached Ruppert about acquiring his company in the summer of 2013. He will stay involved as a part-time consultant over the next six months to ensure a seamless transition with his company’s very loyal customer base.
Ruppert Landscape, Inc. provides commercial landscape installation and landscape management services from its 16 branch offices with locations in the metropolitan areas of Raleigh, N.C., Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, Pa., Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Md., Richmond, Va., and Atlanta, Ga.
