Summit Holdings, a holding company formed by the merger of Diamond Companies and Roberts Truck Center dealerships in October 2013, today announced that they have completed the acquisition of Frontier International Trucks in Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma. With the addition of Frontier International, Summit Holdings now operates 33 locations in 28 markets in 8 states — Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. This acquisition is the second completed to date by Summit Holdings, and is part of their strategy to expand their reach in the various geographical areas is which they currently do business.

“Frontier is a natural fit into the Summit family,” said Justin Fink, President. “This is a locally-owned business in operation since July, 1982. We look forward to meeting all of the employees in Tulsa and Muskogee, and welcoming them to our organization.”

Frontier International represented International commercial vehicles, Idealease lease and rental services, and Crane Carrier Specialty vehicles, and was also an Ottawa dealer. As a location of Summit Truck Group, the Tulsa location will do business as Summit Truck Group of Tulsa, and will represent the brands previously served by Frontier. Mike Owens, former Truck Sales Manager of Frontier International, will serve as General Manager of the Tulsa location for Summit. Tim Owens, previously Lease & Rental Manager for Frontier, will now be serving as New & Used Truck Sales Manager.

“We welcome the 64 employees of Frontier International into the Summit family,” said Blair Roberts, CEO. “We look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence started by the Owens family by providing the best customer experience in the industry to our new customers in the Tulsa area.”
