WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition Issues Call for Abstracts

LAS VEGAS — Experts in the field of water efficiency are invited to submit abstracts for the ninth annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition, slated for October 5-7, 2016 in Las Vegas.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Friday, February 5, 2016. Professionals, scientists, government employees, organizations, public and private institutions, policy makers, students and all others working in an industry related to water efficiency are invited to submit an abstract for an oral presentation, panel discussion or workshop.

Abstracts may be submitted via an online form. A complete list of topics and submittal guidelines is available at the website. Candidates chosen as presenters will be notified by e-mail and postal mail no later than Monday, April 11, 2016.

Event organizers hope to build upon the success previous WSI conferences, which serves to broaden the knowledge of innovations in water conservation including products, programs and outreach. WSI organizers will consider all topics related to innovations in water conservation; potential topics include:

  • Alternate Sources
  • Rainwater/Greywater/Stormwater Harvesting
  • Sustainable Construction and Development
  • High Efficiency Fixtures and Appliances

  • Education (youth, adult)
  • Water Loss Management
  • Water Efficiency and the Environment

The WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition is presented by the Southern Nevada Water Authority in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense Program, Alliance for Water Efficiency and American Water Works Association.
