Xzemplar and Lexicon Intrinsic Fungicides Now Registered by EPA

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — BASF has announced the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration of Xzemplar fungicide andLexicon IntrinsicT brand fungicide.
 
Both products contain the active ingredient fluxapyroxad, brand name Xemium, a new and versatile SDHI (succinate-dehydrogenase inhibitor). Fluxapyroxad is a highly mobile and effective active ingredient that provides both preventative and curative activity on key turfgrass pathogens. Xzemplar fungicide is a solo product containing only fluxapyroxad. Fluxapyroxad delivers unmatched dollar spot control and will be a key product for turfgrass managers when Rhizoctonia spp. and other patch diseases are present.
 
Both Xzemplar fungicide and Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide are expected to be available for sale in 2014. Consult with your State Regulatory Agency regarding status of registration of Xzemplar fungicide and Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide in your state.
