INLA Announces New CLTs

The Idaho Nursery & Landscape Association recognized six individuals who became certified landscape technicians during the Idaho Horticulture Expo. They were Ken Hand, Richard Swift, Jason Hood, James Kibbee and Anna Queen, all of The Cutting Edge Lawn Co., Garden City, and Elisa Clark, Flutterby Gardens, Boise.

WLCA Holds Landscape Awards Banquet

The Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association partnered with the Wisconsin Concrete Masonry Association for the 2009 Excellence in Landscaping & Hardscaping Awards Banquet. Among the awards presented were the Student of the Year awards, which went to Brian Karth, Scott Kazik, Jeremy Klemp and Stefanie Dodge. A silent auction to benefit Project EverGreen raised over $1,500.

WNA Announces Scholarship Winners

The Wisconsin Nursery Association awarded two University of Wisconsin-Madison students $1,000 scholarships. Sarah Ricker, who expects to graduate in the spring of 2012, is majoring in horticulture and landscape architecture, while Nathan Urben is scheduled to graduate in December with a double major in horticulture and Spanish.

WGIF Loses Hall of Famer

The Wisconsin Green Industry Federation mourned the passing of Harry W. Radtke. He owned and operated W. & E. Radtke Perennial Nursery for 32 years and was inducted into the WGIF Hall of Fame in 2003.
