Wong Named Technical Service Specialist for Environmental Science Division
Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, has named Dr. Frank P. Wong technical service specialist for the northern fungicide business of the United States.
Wong has more than 15 years of plant pathology experience. Prior to joining Environmental Science, he served as associate specialist in cooperative extension and as a plant pathologist at the University of California, Riverside. He has also served as the American Phytopathological Society’s subject matter expert for the Environmental Protection Agency, providing information on plant diseases and disease management. He has a doctorate in plant pathology from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
Overture Insecticide Registered in California
Overture Insecticide from Valent Professional Products has been registered in California for use on greenhouse-grown ornamental crops, and will provide growers consistent, effective control of thrips and lepidopterous larvae.
With its registration in California, Overture is now available for use in all 50 states.
