Emerald Tree Care Wins EAB Treatment Contract
Emerald Tree Care LLC, White Lake, Mich., was awarded the emerald ash borer treatment contract for city ash trees in Fort Wayne, Ind. The company provides tree care services in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, specializing in EAB treatment, deep root fertilization and insect and disease control.

TruGreen Acquires Nutri-Turf and Easy Chair
TruGreen announced the acquisitions of Nutri-Turf and Easy Chair Lawn Care, expanding its footprint in Ohio and Michigan and adding more than 10,000 customers to the TruGreen roster. Both companies will be folded into local TruGreen branch operations. TruGreen has offered the opportunity for employees of both businesses to remain with the company.
Tygar Volunteers on ABC’s “Extreme Homeover: Home Edition”
Tygar Mfg. partnered with Curb Scapes of Owensboro, Ky., to assist with the oversight and installation of nearly 300 feet of landscape curbing for a new home constructed for a special Owensboro family, which will be appear on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on ABC in November.
Curb Scapes utilized Tygar’s equipment to extrude a natural looking stone edging around the entrance way and other landscape features of the home.
Curb Scapes is a Tygar certified and trained contractor.

Toro Announces Joint Venture with TCF
The Toro Co. announced the creation of a new joint venture with TCF Inventory Finance, Inc., an indirect subsidiary of TCF Financial Corp. Under the name Red Iron Acceptance, LLC, the new commercial finance entity will provide U.S. distributors and dealers and select Canadian distributors of the Toro and Exmark brands with a source of floor plan and open account financing. TCFIF’s affiliate, TCF Commercial Finance Canada, Inc., will provide financing to Canadian dealers.
Customer support services for Red Iron will be located at Toro’s headquarters in Bloomington, Minn., with “back office” operations housed at TCFIF’s offices in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Tom Evans will serve as general manager of the new entity.
