Hayward to Distribute ZRATOR
After two years of steady growth for ZRATOR, UTECO, Inc. announced that Hayward Distributing Co., Columbus, Ohio, will handle ZRATOR distribution in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, western Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Hayward distributes goods and services to thousands of retailers in the Midwest and across the country. UTECO has been a distributor in the southern U.S. since 1941, and began manufacturing the ZRATOR in 2010.

Ruppert Promotes Distasio
Ruppert Landscape announced the promotion of Scott Distasio to the position of branch manager in its Baltimore, Md., landscape branch. Distasio has over 15 years of industry experience and has been with the company for five years, serving in the roles of area manager and enhancement manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape development from SUNY Cobleskill.
New England Grows Draws Thousands
New England Grows 2012 drew 12,877 green industry professionals to Boston. It featured an exposition filled with nearly 600 industry suppliers, including 63 new exhibiting firms. Ongoing educational presentations took place at the Great Ideas Pavilion and the new Expo Classroom. New England Grows supports the green industry through annual grants to the region’s cooperative extension systems; this year it awarded $25,000.
