Many landscape business owners miss the value of using LinkedIn to boost their businesses because LinkedIn is traditionally thought of as a business-to-business network.
As a result, owners automatically assume that their customer base won’t be found there. However, LinkedIn can be a great way to boost your business and its online presence.
Use LinkedIn’s “connections” as a CRM system:
a. Set reminders: Do you sometimes know you need to follow up with contacts, but you find yourself forgetting when you mentioned you would touch base with them? Now you can simply set a reminder that will pop up at the appropriate time and let you know to contact them.
b. Create notes on those client calls, as well as any previous forms of communication (email exchanges, messages within LinkedIn, etc.) that you’ve had, and it will all be at your fingertips.
c. Tag your connections. This will allow you to send targeted messages. For example, you can “tag” your maintenance clients and send out a reminder email informing them of your special offer on fall cleanups.
This system will also let you know when these clients have updated their information, had a birthday, or had a work anniversary. It’s a great way to keep in touch and stay top of mind. You can find out more here.
