Talstar Professional insecticide has received approval to make a FIFRA 2(ee) recommendation for use on stinkbugs in 17 states hit hard by stinkbug infestations:  Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Florida.

Mostly a nuisance, the brown marmorated stinkbug doesn’t bite or carry diseases, but it infests houses and buildings at the onset of cooler temperatures. In recent years, stinkbug populations have exploded in eastern and certain other states. When threatened by predators, stinkbugs excrete an offensive-smelling liquid.

Talstar Professional insecticide may be applied as a lawn or perimeter treatment for prevention and control of stinkbugs and more than 75 additional pests. A water-based product, Talstar Professional is non-irritating and does not leave unsightly residues or cause phytotoxicity.
