TIFTON, Ga. — The University of Georgia has named The Turfgrass Group the licensing and marketing agent for TifTuf certified bermudagrass. TifTuf (experimental name DT-1) has been in testing at the University of Georgia since 1993, and is the new drought-tolerant turfgrass developed by researchers led by Dr. Wayne Hanna and Dr. Brian Schwartz at the University of Georgia in Tifton.
The Turfgrass Group is an affiliated company of New Concept Turf, named by University of Georgia as the exclusive license holder for TifTuf.
TifTuf is available for sod production license now with limited foundation material ready for planting this summer.
