Website Provides Updates about ALT 70 Fungicide

ATLANTA, Ga. – A website has been established as a central online location for the product manufacturer and distributor to share news and information about ArmorTech ALT 70 fungicide following recent incidents of compromised turfgrass quality.

“I understand the concerns and questions golf course superintendents and others may have. I want to assure them that we are working with the product manufacturer, our partners and university researchers to quickly and thoroughly investigate the incidents where turf damage was reported,” said Tim Zech, president of United Turf Alliance (UTA), the distributor/marketer of ALT 70.

Last week, Zech visited two golf courses where turfgrass was allegedly compromised by UTA’s fungicide. On Friday, June 5, he sent a Stop-Sale letter to customers.

He said university cooperators who know the product from trials and use of ALT70 since 2007, are gathering details and investigating the incidents.

“At this time, UTA is doing everything we can to provide answers for this situation, and we are taking steps to prevent further issues,” Zech said.

In addition to the website, new information will be shared on Twitter @ALT70info and Facebook
