FINDLAY, Ohio — More than 300,000 square feet of turfgrass on The University of Findlay campus in northwest Ohio died after a lawn care company mistakenly treated the grounds with a broad-spectrum herbicide rather than with a typical combo fertilizer product.
University spokeswoman Brianna Patterson says the application took place the last week of April.
In mid-May, the university sued USA Lawns and Landscaping, seeking $25,000 in damages in spite of the company taking quick action to repair the damage by replacing the grass, reports limaohio.com.
